Women's Somatic Workshop | November 7 | 10am-12pm EST, 4-6pm CET
How does the freeze response operate in cyclical bodies?
This is a question we'll explore in this 2-hour workshop that focuses on working on freeze in the context of a woman's nervous system.
Freeze, a nervous system response many of us know a bit too well—especially us women, as our nervous systems are more prone to it.
Brain fog, feeling like you're floating. Racing thoughts, worrying about a to-do list that's getting longer by the day, while your body feels paralysed and unable to start. Feeling the pressure of wanting to follow your dreams while they feel unattainable, worrying about missed opportunities.
Having lived with functional freeze for most of my life, I know the struggle way too well.
What I also know now is, freeze doesn't have to be the end-game. Things can change, movign forward can become more effortless, the ice can start melting away.
We just need an embodied approach to it. One that honours our physiology as women.
I'd love to have you there as we dive deeper into this topic.
This is for you if:
𖦹 The freeze response is a part of your day-to-day life—you find it challenging to move forward, life feels often overwhelming. You want to acquire practical, embodied tools to help you navigate the freeze.
𖦹 You want to understand the freeze response better in the context of the female nervous system
𖦹 You've tried to push through the freeze but have come to the conclusion that another kind of approach is needed—you're ready to try a new, more gentle approach through building a relationship with the part of you that feels frozen
𖦹 You are curious about the female nervous system and how it differs from nervous system knowledge we’ve been taught in the standard somatics
𖦹 You are called to understand your female body in a more profound way and start shedding the shame us women carry around our cyclicality (which is a big puzzle piece in starting to melt the freeze)
What to expect:
𖦹 Education on the freeze response and how it works in a woman's nervous system
𖦹 Somatic and psychosomatic practices for working on freeze, specifically adjusted to women's physiology
𖦹 An opportunity to deepen your connection with your body and monthly cycle and to start cultivating a relationship with the part of you that feels frozen
𖦹 A supportive women’s space where you are welcome and celebrated as you are—you don't have to perform or be at your "best"
