Fawning Recovery

This is a 2-month course to explore the Fawn Response. What it is, why it shows up in your life, and how to work with it to recover and return to a life of authenticity and wholeness.

We have four sessions that cover the basics of fawning, how it impacts the Self, and how it influences your relationships and overall life.

All throughout, you will receive powerful, tangible tools to heal this pattern once and for all, from a place of deep compassion and curiosity. 

Fawning is a brilliant survival response that comes online when you have to depend on others for your own safety and survial.

At one point, it was most likely very much needed. Your nervous system triggered its Fawn Response when you did not have the resources to hold your own sense of safety.

But now, you do. 

Even still, your nervous system holds onto its fawning mechanism.

It influences the dynamic of your relationships -- where you reflexively put others needs before your own.

It influences how you operate externally -- where you may develop an identity based on others' expectations of you. Suddenly you look at your life and wonder if it's yours. 

It influences how you feel internally -- your thoughts may center around fear, guilt, stress, worry... your body may feel tense, constricted, on alert. This feeling keeps pushing you to repeat the same patterns.

Fawning is the utmost expression of things like people pleasing, performing, self-sacrificing. 

This takes a toll on your body, and all of your relationships.

Recovering from this state changes everything.

 

In Fawning Recovery, you will learn:

- Somatic practices to support your body along the journey of deconditioning (think: guilt, fear, doubt).

- Resources to handle feeling overwhelmed.
